Tasmeem Flowers & Chocolates: A Review

Posted May 30, 2012

How can I describe Tasmeem cupcakes in three words?

Cute, charming and creamy.

When I received a package of Tasmeem cupcakes on behalf of Youth Arabia, I felt ecstatic.  I mean, who doesn’t like having food appear on their doorstep, right? Their delivery system was extremely efficient since they didn’t have any problems finding out where my compound was despite being nameless. My first thought about Tasmeem was the “Such amazing branding!”. Personally, I think good branding equals to good business. As I took the package from the delivery guy, I recognized the sweet scent coming from the bag. The paper bag was decorated beautifully with colourful illustrations. Kudos to the illustrator, whoever you are. We should totally be friends!

As I’ve mentioned before, Tasmeem did a splendid job on having an eye-catching brand because you know why? My little sister saw everything. I mean, the bright package stood up so well. She begged for a taste and I had to explain to her that the cupcakes were meant for my team mates. Of course, I had to give in because I couldn’t handle violent tantrums. She went straight for the marshmallow one and so I decided to make her do a review for that particular flavour.

And I quote, “Yeah, I like it. It has marshmallows on it.” She seems to love it so much.

You now have the approval of a 8-year-old.

The cupcake itself was delicious and worth the price. The topping and decorations are my favourite parts of the cupcake; it’s wonderfully sweet and melts the very instant it touches your tongue - which is exactly why I prefer to save the icing for last!

Here’s an instructional comic on the how-Marsya-eats-her-cupcake style ...

(Not recommended for kids under the age of 4 – cupcakes pose a potential choking hazard and are known to cause extreme hyperactivity.)

“Now, where can I get a hold of these seemingly amazing cupcakes,” you ask?

There are three places in Doha – The Mall, The Center and Wathnan Mall. Plus, there will be two new shops opening soon. If you’re lucky, you might just find a Tasmeem outlet near your house too. Even if you’re not that lucky, you can now have it delivered to your house using Manzil Delivery – the 1st online home delivery company in Qatar (exactly what my couch-potato habit has been in desperate need of)!

Although Tasmeem is usually known for their cupcakes, they offer other products as well such as chocolates, lollipops, brownies, cookies, balloons and lots more. You can also get those cute bite-sized cupcakes for approximately half a price of a regular cupcake.  In a way, Tasmeem has it all for your celebration. And you know what? Make your day more special by having the products customized. They will be more than happy to cater to your need for fancy personalised artwork (brbteatime cupcake designs, anyone?).

Our summer plan is to try out everything at Tasmeem :’)

Bottom line is : you should totally check Tasmeem out, and let us know if you agree!

Happy sugar highs, everyone!
