Youth Arabia was invited to the opening of the highly anticipated automotive event in the region, Qatar Motor Show 2013 which was launched by His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar on 28th of February. The inauguration involved cutting the ribbon symbolizing the launch followed by a tour around the exhibition. The show co-hosts Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA), q.media Events, and GL Events who aimed to grab the highest numbers of visitors (120,000 visitors was estimated from last year) automotive event in the region.
The exhibitors are showcasing vehicles from the around the world which included Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, Bertone, Ford, Ferrari, Kia, Maserati, McLaren, Mercedes, Mini, Mitsubishi, and Toyota who will unveiled their latest models for the first time in the region. On top of that, the first hyper car designed in the Middle East, the Lykan Hypersport, is having its first appearance globally in the event and will be the main attraction for the visitors. It boasts its high performance specs along with its highly luxurious sense of style such as diamond crusted LED lights. We were informed that only seven of these models will be made, each will cost around 3.4 million US dollars (that’s almost 12.4 million Qatari Riyals!) In addition, Bentley, Brabus, W Motors and Lamborghini are unveiling new models for the first time – globally! So 26 new cars in total will be revealed at the 2013 Qatar Motor Show and that’s significantly higher than last year’s premiere. These are all happening in Doha!

So many debuts and brands being showcased (and don’t forget stunning girls to go along with it), it’s unbelievable. It’s a must visit for car enthusiasts – and the fact that it’s happening here in Doha, you certainly don’t want to miss this.
The event is open to the public from 29th January to 2nd February.
