This was actually my favourite look at the MTV Movie awards this year. The Gossip Girl star was sporting this casual look and it wasn’t over the top and it would be perfect on a “get-the-look” segment. Leighton Meester wore a Christian Cota Spring 2012 ensemble with nude Brian Atwood ‘Claudia Bis’ suede pumps. She accessorized it with Neil Lane gold jewels and nude shimmery Jimmy Choo clutch. Her make up was very light – a classic winged liner and pop of orange lips. The whole look has a very sophisticated yet easy look which is perfect for summer. We have soft light colors and the fabrics aren’t heavy. Most of the items below aren’t exactly the same as what Leighton is wearing but it’s my take on it.

Tip: When you’re going for a similar look , your fabric choice is very important. For shorts and waistcoats avoid denim as it takes away the clean look, and for the blouse try going for a very light weight fabric and sheer is perfect for summer.
